The German Crater Town

Not the only one, but unique in its shimmering surfaces. I had the pleasure
of visiting Nordlingen several times, including once when my parents
visited; as Eugene Shoemaker (who had helped determine the origin of
Nordlingen's shimmer) had been a friend, that visit was particularly
important.
