After realizing that I find myself forwarding articles, links, and who knows what else, it dawned on me that it would be easier on all involved if I simply put them here.

It hard to keep a city running when...
The folks who do so can't afford to live there and don't have realistic options to commute. It isn't a new or unique problem (e.g. San Francisco), but this is another example.
